Recently, the 2nd batch of establishment of “national popular tourism demonstrations” was released publicly. 18 counties and cities from Hunan Province were enrolled into the list, including Rucheng County from Chenzhou City.

The establishment of “national popular tourism demonstrations” was presented by the State Tourism Bureau in this January, which was purposely to improve the transformation of development model from “landscape tourism” to “popular tourism”, shape new tourism development pattern, and set up the tourism industry’s image of strategic pillar industry. All the regions listed in the directory can be favored with series policies, such as central and local budget investment, infrastructures of tourism, tourism investment projects, tourism diplomacy and propaganda, reform pilot, establishment of national tourism brand, training, and etc.

In recent years, Rucheng County focused on the strategic targets of “improving the construction of one city and three places, promoting the green rising”， highlighted the characteristics of “one city and two springs”, and implemented the concept of “popular tourism” to improve the development of tourism industry. “Rucheng County’s 4-year plan on improving cultural tourism industry (2015-2018)” and some other files were issued, which helped to promote the integration of tourism and industrial, agricultural, and other industries. The tourism industry was being improved well and the shape with comprehensive infrastructure, multiple tourism products, high level service, and convenient transportation began to take shape as well. It is significant for improving the comprehensive integration of tourism resources, improving the development of tourism industry, and upgrading the tourism brands of Chenzhou City.
